WHAT WE STAND FOR...

The Richmond Democratic Party shall never abandon its commitment to the people of Richmond and shall set as its priority the development of individual potential and the preservation of our collective freedoms.

We shall continue our efforts to foster the type of government that is responsive to the needs of the Richmond citizen: a government of honesty and integrity that can adapt to the ever-changing political environment of Rhode Island. We shall put forth leaders that the public can trust and hold to the highest ethical standards. Our Party will restore Richmond’s faith in its public servants.

As Democrats, we will continue to promote community. We shall hold to our commitment to provide a community of action and well being.

The Richmond Democratic Party will always remain active in the quest for economic growth and opportunity. We shall usher in new jobs for Richmond residents and make every effort to keep the old ones. We shall protect the working men and women of this Town . We will continue to strive to strengthen the school systems of this district so as to provide Richmond with a skilled and motivated workforce.

We shall never relinquish our commitment to the senior citizens of this town in need of care and assistance. Our commitment will remain strong to the financially disadvantaged and those left on the fringes of society due to a cycle of poverty and/or discrimination.

We will take action to preserve and protect the rights of each and every Richmond Resident regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, and religion.

These are the tenets of the Richmond Democratic Town Committee.
